Ria Money Transfer Inaugurates New Computer Room at Bargny High School in Senegal

In May 2025, Ria Money Transfer visited Bargny High School in Senegal to mark the inauguration of the school’s newly built computer room. Located east of Dakar, the school hosted a warm and vibrant celebration welcoming the Ria team. The event featured heartfelt speeches, a traditional goumber dance, and a surprise musical performance by singer Oumy, capturing the spirit of community and excitement.

The initiative stemmed from a real logistical challenge. Initially, Ria attempted to donate computers to the school, but the lack of appropriate infrastructure made it impossible. This challenge inspired the construction of a dedicated space to house the much-needed technology. Now, thanks to the partnership between Ria and the school, students have access to digital resources that were previously unavailable.
