Enhancements to Euronet Internet Banking
Euronet Internet Banking (EIB) solution now offers comprehensive functionality for Euronet's Integrated Credit Card System (ICCS) and these enhancements will now be available as a robust benefit to all ICCS clients.

The architectural improvements made to Euronet's Integrated Transaction Management (ITM) allow EIB to access a core accounting systems for checking/savings accounts and simultaneously access ICCS for credit accounts. Interfaces to other types of card issuing systems can also be accommodated.

EIB Functionality
The following are some key EIB features presented to the user relating to account inquiry and account history:

> Cycle to date debits and credits > Current cycle transactions
> Fees > Displays unbilled transactions
> Returns > List of statement cycles/periods
> Outstanding authorizations > Statement history
> Available balance    

This functionality is not limited to just information display for an Internet banking user. EIB also provides the user the convenience and power to carry out the following financial transactions online:

  • Make payment towards an ICCS credit card account from a checking/savings account in the core accounting system
  • Bill payment from an ICCS credit card account (*with Euronet bill pay solution)
  • Transfer funds from an ICCS credit card account to a checking/savings account via a cash advance transaction



Enhancements to Euronet Telephone Banking
Similar to EIB, Euronet Telephone Banking (ETB) now offers comprehensive functionality for Euronet's Integrated Credit Card System (ICCS), which will be available as a robust benefit to all ICCS clients. While the standard EIB & ETB solutions are designed to run immediately on ICCS, this functionality interfaces with other card issuing systems.

ETB Functionality
The following are some key ETB features voiced over to the user when an account inquiry and/account history services are performed:

From a financial transactions perspective, the new ETB functionality enables users to make the following payments via the telephone:

  • Payments towards credit cards
  • Bill payment using credit cards
  • Transfer from credit cards in the form of cash advance

Combined with the recent addition of card activation and hot carding via Euronet Internet and Telephone Banking, the above ICCS integration and functionality demonstrates Euronet's continual product investment and commitment to providing its clients powerful retail banking solutions.

Euronet MasterCard Chip (M/Chip) Issuer and Acquirer Programs
The Euronet M/Chip Issuer and Acquirer Programs provide integration of Europay MasterCard VISA (EMV) chip processing standards with the existing MasterCard Online and Bulk File processing programs. Euronet Chip Support Program contains M/Chip support for both Integrated Credit Card System (ICCS) and the Card Management System (CMS).

Key Euronet M/Chip Issuer Functionality

  • Chip program support for online and offline transaction handling
  • Messages contain all required EMV data for cryptogram verification processing
  • Online card and issuer authentication
  • Supports card and issuer cryptogram validation during the authorization process
  • Captures and stores chip related data for validation, reporting, clearing, research, processing and authentication
  • upports the generation and transmission of post issuance scripts during online transaction processing for:
    • Card activation
    • Card blocking
    • Offline limit modification
    • Reset PIN
    • Allow PIN change offline
    • Block/unblock applications
    • Put data—Allows changes to offline limits and currency conversion attributes of the chip card

EMV-related security services performed by the Euronet M/Chip issuer program include:

  • Verification of the Authorization Request Cryptogram (ARQC) required for online card authentication
  • Generation of the Authorization Response Cryptogram (ARPC) required for online issuer authentication
  • Processing according to predefined risk management parameters
  • MasterCard standard risk mitigation and security process integrated with ITM and the M/Chip Issuer Program
Key Euronet M/Chip Acquirer Functionality
  • Device support for POS capable of communicating in ISO-8583 message format with EMV required data and ATM devices supporting the M-Chip program of MasterCard
  • Device drivers accept, transmit, process and report acquired transactions from supported devices
  • Supports transmission of post issuance scripts during online transaction processing
  • M/Chip program support for online and offline transaction handling
  • Supports M/Chip programs for MasterCard Online and Bulk File processing depending upon region
  • Messages contain all required EMV data for cryptogram verification

Euronet Introduces Integrated Prepaid Solution
Euronet Worldwide announces Integrated Prepaid Solution (IPS), its latest software offering available in 2005. This new offering will allow banks to increase their market share by introducing new products such as the prepaid bank card to serve growing customer needs and to convert traditional cash and check transactions to electronic transactions.

According to Time Magazine, last year prepaid card sales were around $45 billion and in 2006 sales are expected to hit $90 billion; the average amount spent on prepaid cards by customers is around $150-$200 per year. As the card market shows no slowing in this sector, banks in all regions will soon offer some type of solution in order to remain competitive and capture their market share.

With Euronet's new offering, banks can now leverage the prepaid card opportunity by selling branded prepaid bank cards, not only at their own branches, but via grocery stores, shopping malls and over the Internet. Some key features of Euronet's IPS are ATM and Internet access, reload facility and permitting transfer of funds to other cards or individuals. The ability to reload prepaid cards enables banks to foster repeat business and can add an enormous amount of recurring revenues to the banks bottom line.
