Euronet and Hrvatski Telekom (HT) announces a Euronet ATM Recharge agreement, enabling HT's Simpa prepaid customers to purchase airtime at ATMs owned by Raiffeisenbank and Splitska Banka in Croatia.

Euronet signs a long-term ATM network participation agreement with Bank Przemyslowo-Handlowy PBK (BPH PBK), which is owned by the second largest bank in Germany, HypoVereinsbank AG (HVB).


November  

Euronet enters the India market with a multiyear ATM outsourcing agreement to operate 450 ATMs for one of India's largest and fastest growing private banks.

Euronet introduces the launch of U.S.-based prepaid recharge services program, called PaySpot, which enables consumers to purchase wireless airtime and long distance calling plans from ATM and POS devices.

Rick Weller joins Euronet as executive vice president and chief financial officer. Kendall Coyne transitions to Euronet's controller.


October  

Euronet announces a multiyear ATM network participation agreement with Pekao SA. By joining forces with Euronet, Pekao SA offers the largest ATM network in Poland.

Euronet is recognized for the third consecutive year on the 2002 Deloitte & Touche Technology Fast 500.

A new data processing facility opens in Budapest, Hungary, almost tripling Euronet's capacity for transaction processing in Europe, the Middle East and Africa regions.


September  

Euronet enters an ATM outsourcing with Tatra Banka a.s., Euronet will provide ATM outsourcing for the bank's approximately 120 ATMs.

Bayerische Hypo- und Vereinsbank AG (HVB), the second largest bank in Germany, sign on with Euronet to pilot cash management outsourcing services at a limited number of HVB ATMs.

Euronet's U.K. operation offers Visa and MasterCard acceptance on Euronet ATMs for cash withdrawals and credit card cash advances after successfully completing a rigorous Visa audit of processing security and general procedures.


August   Euronet contracts with Westpac Banking Corporation to provide Euronet ATM, Debit Card, POS and Merchant and Telephone Banking software solutions to the bank's Pacific operations.

July  

Euronet moves from the Nasdaq SmallCap Market to the Nasdaq National Market. Euronet is also added as a member of the Russell 3000 and Russell 2000 Indexes.


June  

Euronet implements ATM Recharge for Vodafone Hungary. Euronet now provides this service to all three GSM mobile operators in Hungary, including Pannon GSM and Westel.

Through a joint agreement with MobiFon (Connex) and Banca Comerciala Romana (BCR), Euronet will provide ATM Recharge Services for Romania's Connex prepaid airtime subscribers via BCR-branded ATMs in Romania.


May  

Euronet announces a global marketing agreement with Giesecke & Devrient GmbH (G&D) for electronic payment solutions via mobile phones.

Euronet signs ATM Recharge service agreements with Abbey National plc and Orange. This service marks the first time that consumers in the U.K. will be able to add airtime to their prepaid mobile phones via ATMs.


April  

Euronet announces a Euronet ATM Recharge agreement with Cesky Mobil a.s., a subsidiary of Canadian company Telesystem International Wireless, to deliver prepaid airtime in the Czech Republic.

Euronet implements mobile recharge for Satelindo. This service begins Euronet's mobile transaction switching in Indonesia, offering connectivity to Bank Internasional Indonesia, Bank Universal and Bank Ekonomi.

Euronet initiates POS Recharge service for customers of Centertel's prepaid service in Poland.

Euronet launches mobile recharge for Polkomtel S.A. The mobile operator already has Euronet ATM Recharge.


February  

Deutsche Bank 24 S.A. signs a second five-year contract for ATM outsourcing. Deutsche Bank 24 also expands the scope of the services, including bill payment solutions and prepaid airtime recharge from all three mobile operators in Poland.

Euronet completes a private placement of 625,000 shares of its common stock at $20 per share, for gross proceeds of $12.5 million.

Euronet launches ATM Recharge services for Westel Mobile Telecommunications Company Ltd., Hungary's largest mobile operator.


January  

Euronet forms a joint venture with Hong Kong-based First Mobile Group Holdings Limited, one of the largest mobile phone distributors in the Asia Pacific region.

Euronet signs a contract with the U.K.'s Post Office Ltd. to drive merchant-replenished ATMs in post office branches throughout the U.K.

Through its PT Euronet Sigma Nusantara joint venture, Euronet agrees to provide Mobile Recharge services to Satelindo.

Euronet sells its DASH electronic funds transfer (EFT) network solution to ALLTEL Information Services, which supplies industry-leading integrated solutions to the financial services marketplace.
